Zombie Fallout #2 A plague upon your family by Mark Tufo Book Review

by Mark Tufo

This story picks up exactly where book one left off. The Talbot family is evacuating their home amidst a zombie apocalypse. Mankind is on the edge of extinction as a new dominant, mindless opponent scours the landscape in search of food, which just so happens to be non-infected humans.
In these pages, are the journal entries of Michael Talbot, his wife Tracy, their three kids Nicole, Justin and Travis. With them are Brendon, Nicole’s fiancée and Tommy previously a Wal-Mart door greeter who may be more than he seems. Together they struggle against a ruthless, relentless enemy that has singled them out above all others.

The Talbots have escaped Little Turtle but to what end, on the run they find themselves encountering a far vaster evil than the one that has already beset them. As they travel across the war-torn country side they soon learn that there are more than just zombies to be fearful of, with law and order a long distant memory some humans have decided to take any and all matters into their own hands.
Can the Talbots come through unscathed or will they suffer the fate of so many countless millions before them. It’s not just brains versus brain-eaters anymore. And the stakes may be higher than merely life and death with eternal souls on the line.

Book 2 of the Zombie Fallout series and it picks up from where Book one ends a nice smooth transition and perfect when reading straight from book one. I simply couldnt wait to continue and downloaded it the second I'd finished book one.

I love this series and I cannot stress enough how well written this storyline is; its flow and fast pace keeps you glued to your Kindle screen as Mark continues this gripping plot.
Mike Talbot the main character is such a tough, likable, germophobe with a fantastic sense of humour which still had me laughing outloud in a few places. The story continues its extreme goriness and suspense, you will be on the edge of your seat as the family search for Traceys Mother out in the country.

I love the perfect balance of suspense and character interactions which keeps us; the reader in the middle of it all; again completely believable. Mark maintains the high intensity action sequences his excellent writing making it seem so real; as the group are pursued by hoards of zombies that seem to uncannily know where they will be. Tommy of course is just adorable and plays a huge part in keeping them safe in his own special way and making us smile with his never-ending supply of pop tarts and sweets.
They have started to realize that Justin (Mikes son) seems to have a weird connection with Eliza and Mike can no longer trust him. The inclusion of this zombie/vampire queen adds a unique horrific edge to this incredible series and its so much more than just another zombie series. Eliza plays her sadistic mind-games as she gets ever closer to the group. Will they survive this next massive fight. I am dying to know a bit more about why the family are being targeted but Im sure that will be explained in Book 3.
Im not giving anymore away you just really have to read this series from book one Zombie fallout review here.
Im off to continue reading Book #3 of the series The End, although I hope it isnt I have to keep reading.

I absolutely love this Zombie fallout series, a perfect ,mix of humour, goriness and suspense with a dash of the paranormal.
You so NEED to read these. Im loving the book covers too, the artwork is fab.
