Adding the adorable Flying TwitterBird onto Blogger

The Flying Twitterbird

If your a regular to my site you will recognize the little flying Twitter bird that discreetly flies down to wherever you scroll; following you around like a little blue stalker.
Everytime you move the mouse he will take a random flight to the next visible screen area.
Try to catch him, then click him it will take you to my twitter page.

I wanted to share this little guy with you all as his not just for fun, even though I absolutely love him being a bird lover; he is one of the best widgets to help you share your blog with others.
Every visitor will see the little bird and as soon as they move their mouse he will fly to where they are viewing within the viewable screen.
Approximately half your visitors will then try catching him by clicking on him.

When you place the mouse over him "Tweet this" and "Follow me" links appear. Its the readers choice if they wish to tweet your your site; or follow you.
More than half the visitors today have their own twitter account so your blog can easily be promoted with a little bit of fun.

Whats to lose...Oh...unless your scared of birds!

I have been asked alot how to install him on blog pages. So here goes I only know how to add him to blogger blogs but I can advise you of another site for wordpress etc.

  1. Go to your Blogger Dashboard.
  2. Click Template Option.
  3. Click on Edit HTML,
  4. Find </body> tag in HTML Coding, its near the bottom (Tip: Use CTRL+F).
  5. Insert Below code just before/above </body> tag. (Its about 3/4 the way down.)

 <script type='text/javascript'>
var twitterAccount = &quot;GadgetGReviews&quot;;
var tweetThisText = &quot; <data:blog.pageTitle/> : <data:blog.url/> &quot;;
tripleflapInit();
</script><span style='font-size:11px;position:absolute;'><a href='https://twitter.com/GadgetGReviews' target='_blank' title='Blogger Widget by TUW'>Tricks and Tips</a></span><!-- Twitter Bird Widget for Blogger by computer entertainment-->

Lastly simply replace GadgetGReviews (highlighted) with your own twitter account name and click save template and off you go.

It just adds a bit of fun to your website and getting everyone connected.
Here are some other versions available on bloggerhero if you wish.

Thanks for stopping by
