Aboard a freighter bound for Baltimore harbor, an Iranian terrorist prepares to unleash an unimaginable horror upon the United States. The ‘Wrath’ is an undead plague – an infection that consumes its victims with a maddening rage and turns them into mindless blood-thirsty killers.
Jack Cutter is just an ordinary guy dealing with a dreadful guilt when the virus tears through his home town. Before it’s too late, Cutter will have to find a way to survive, and find a reason fight:His redemption.

"Nicholas Ryan has delivered complete madness. A bloody zombie-smash from start to finish. Any fan of the genre will have a blast reading this."
- D.J. MOLLES
Bestselling Author of  'The Remaining', 'The Remaining: Aftermath', 'The Remaining: Refugees', 'The Remaining: Fractured'

Im a huge fan of Post apocalyptic and zombie-esk genre books if you haven't guessed already...!

The quiet town of Baltimore finds themselves the direct attack from an Israeli patient zero with a suicide germ warfare attack, I loved how this went into detail of how he thought before swallowing the liquid and the aftermath.

Ground Zero is fast paced from the start and is a survival story based around  a painter illustrater Jack Cutter grieving for his wife son killed in a car crash caused by him. From there we follow Jack right from the start as he goes from one situation to another; being the one to help others in need. Jack goes onto helps several groups of people till he finds Samantha and her pastor father who is dying of cancer. They form the start of romantic bond as they drive for safety to find the Garden of Eden; an apocalyptic shelter of a now dead owner.
I love that Jack is just a normal guy not a experienced Navy seal or soldier like many zombie books and he gradually learns how to survive, it feels believable and natural. You can relate easily to his natural fears and your right behind him at every horrifying situation.

Its well written and the author is brilliantly descriptive offering a clear vision of whats going on; but would have loved to read more and had a longer novel rather than novella. I would love to know more about Sam and see just how she ticks and more about their relationship, I love that shes a tough girl and not some screaming wreck at the sight of blood like some zombie books...phew thank you Nicholas!

But I was just getting to know both Jack and Sam and it ended; (even though it was a great ending) I would have liked to know more about virus where is it going, is it burning out or getting worse, left many open questions and me wanting more; so I'm looking forward to maybe a book 2....please!
Still its a great fast paced read you wont want to put down and what a fantastic ending. It certainly more believable than some zombie books and I think any zombieholics will love this read!
